4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Our primary business is in Michigan, USA. If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

- Legitimate interests — responding to inquiries, improving our website, and protecting our business
- Consent — for any optional email marketing communications
- Legal obligation — where required by applicable law
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only as follows:
- Service providers — Calendly (scheduling), Crisp (live chat), Netlify (web hosting), Google Analytics (website analytics), Stripe (payment processing), and HubSpot (CRM) — each under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements
- Subcontractors — vetted technical subcontractors who assist with client project delivery sign confidentiality agreements and are bound by the same data protection standards
- Legal requirements — we will disclose information if required by court order, subpoena, or applicable law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AAIS, our clients, or the public
- Business transfers — in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction (we would notify you in advance)
6. HIPAA Compliance
For clients in the healthcare industry, American AI Solutions LLC operates as a Business Associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before any Protected Health Information is shared with us.
